Paul Kronenwetter - N2KIQ

Paul was first licensed in 1989 after taking his Novice exam and received KB2IYD. He quickly upgraded to Technician and received his current callsign N2KIQ. He waited for a little while to upgrade to Advanced and made the first of his very few HF contacts with another ham in the Ukraine. Paul is an inactive Volunteer Examiner with both ARRL and W5YI VEC organizations.

Paul obtained his Bachelor's of Science from Clarkson University (external link) in Electrical Engineering. Near the end of his undergraduate studies he was offered a job with General Electric in Syracuse, NY. Upon graduation in 1993, GE didn't exist in that location as that business was sold to Martin Marietta. He's been an employee of Lockheed Martin since 1995 when Martin Marietta merged with Lockheed. During his stay in Syracuse, Paul obtained a Masters of Science degree in Computer Science from Syracuse University (external link) in 2000 shortly before he and Sandra moved to Orlando.

Paul enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including tower climbing, bicycle riding, roller blading and swimming, especially in the Summer (from June through November in Orlando!). However, being a technical sort of person, he doesn't find himself outside much and enjoys fiddling around with computers a might more than he rightfully should.

I'm currently working to enable Xastir on the One Laptop Per Child I recently received. I've documented my efforts on the XastirOLPC page.
